How I Can Help
Some of the main ways I can take work off your plate. Select one to see what it can include. This is not a complete list.
Visibility & Outreach Research
Looking for more opportunities to be seen and heard?
Authors, speakers, coaches, consultants, and subject matter experts often know what they want to talk about but not where to look. I research and organize the opportunities that fit you and your subject.
A good fit if: Authors, speakers, coaches, consultants, subject matter experts, and other professionals who want more visibility.
What this can include
- Podcast guest opportunities
- Speaking opportunities
- Conferences and events
- Professional organizations
- Media opportunities
- Partnership possibilities
- Research, qualification, organization, tracking, and outreach support, depending on the engagement
Research & Opportunity Finding
When you need to know something you cannot easily look up, or find options you did not know existed, I do the digging and organize what turns up. Sources are evaluated, not just collected.
A good fit if: You are weighing a decision, exploring a new area, or need answers you have not been able to find on your own.
What this can include
- Market and competitor research
- Prospect and vendor research
- Opportunity identification
- Information gathering and resource discovery
- Specialized research projects
- Findings organized into a summary or spreadsheet
Business & Administrative Support
Dependable help with the recurring work that keeps a business or practice running, so more of your time goes to the work only you can do.
A good fit if: Routine tasks keep pulling you away from higher value work, or things are getting dropped between projects.
What this can include
- Documentation and record keeping
- Scheduling and coordination
- Account administration
- Data and information organization
- Workflow support
- Tracking for your tasks and open items
Technology & Systems Support
I am comfortable with the technology small businesses and professionals depend on, and I can get tools set up, organized, and working. This is practical business technology help, not an IT department.
A good fit if: Your tools are scattered, half set up, or not working the way they should.
What this can include
- Online tool and platform setup
- Platform and account administration
- Business email systems and account setup
- Troubleshooting
- Organizing your tools and accounts
Project & Operations Support
Help getting projects and processes organized, written down, and moving, whether it is a one-time special project or ongoing operations.
A good fit if: A project or process needs structure, or you want your way of working documented and improved.
What this can include
- Project coordination
- Process documentation
- Workflow improvement
- Implementation support
- Follow-up systems
- Special projects
Content & Information Support
Support for the material behind your work: researched, gathered, and put into a form that is ready to use.
A good fit if: You have content, documents, or resources that need researching, gathering, or shaping into something usable.
What this can include
- Content research
- Website content support
- Resource development
- Document preparation
- Information organization
- Research-based content support
Don’t see what you need?
These are only some of the ways I can help, and plenty of work falls between them or outside them. If you have a need or a question that isn’t listed here, tell me about it.
About Me
I’m Jeff Schiller. I’ve spent more than twenty years finding answers, organizing information, solving problems, and learning new systems quickly, in research environments, government, military organizations, nonprofits, and professional settings.
My Master of Library and Information Science is, in practice, training in finding hard to find information, judging sources, and turning a pile of material into something you can use. I work independently, take ownership of projects, and I’m comfortable with the technology most of them depend on.
Today I bring that experience to businesses and professionals who need capable, flexible support without adding another full time position.
- Find and evaluate difficult information
- Learn unfamiliar systems and subjects fast
- Troubleshoot and improve processes
- Turn information into something actionable
Simple, Flexible Support
